My new laptop had a mind of its own. I bought a 'helpful' book but it failed to help much. Hefin came round and got a grip of the situation at once. Outstanding service & prompt response
Extremely pleased with work carried out on my laptop.The internet linking problem was resolved, further suggestions to improve the performance of my laptop were explained in a way that even I could understand and as a result my 5 year old machine is now running like Hussein Bolt.
Prior to Christmas I became aware that someone had hacked into my e mail account. I was getting phone calls from friends and contacts both here and in New Zealand/Oz saying they were receiving e mails wanting money. Naturally I was concerned that more important business and financial contacts had been compromised . Checks with companies and financial institutions brought all differing views. Confusion reigned as to what I should do. By chance I came across an advert in a magazine for PC RESQ LIMITED. With doubts I contacted them and spoke to Hefin Harries. My early impression of the phone call was this man knew his business. Arrangements were made for him to visit me at home. He came at the agreed time, he was pleasant and sympathetic to my worries/doubts . Within an hour he had sorted out and cleaned up my various devices explaining each step and a answering all and any good and / or stupid questions. More importantly he gave me peace of mind. I consider the cost of his time, money well spent. If at any time in the future I have problems / difficulties / doubts on my internet I will most certainly call in PC RESQ.

Hefin has been a worthwhile investment and saved me valuable time and data. I am self employed and needed quick help with my Apple computers. I had a water destroyed macbook (I thought), plus an iMac that was old and slow. I thought I'd lost all my information, but Hefin extracted it all from the macbook, set up my new macbook pro with Chrome, transferred my photos, and organised my disorderly mail accounts. He also helped set up Dropbox for backups, and put antivirus protection on my mac. He is quick and efficient.

The session was useful confidence-building, particularly as Hefin has the gift [not universal among computer savants] of explaining what I needed to know in English, and not in Silicon Valley-ese. He also set up the tablet far more quickly than would have happened otherwise.
Hefin responded quickly to my email enquiry and arranged an appointment rapidly. He removed browser hijacker malware which had defeated my skills, sorted out a printer problem and helpfully advised on some security software to prevent the original problem recurring. This was all carried out within the call out fee so I was very happy and will certainly use his efficient services again if I have any further IT problems.
As someone who is NOT internet "savvy", it is great to have Hefin and PC Resq. to rely on for efficient assistance, and patience when coping with the insecurities of an older person!

We'd been suffering from poor wi-fi signal at home for some time, it was really impacting our ability to work from home.I contacted PC ResQ for some advice and Hefin was able to come around within couple of days. After he ran some checks, he clearly explained the options and recommendations. We chose to have some extra hardware installed which he did straight away. The results have been excellent and have had reliable wi-fi ever since. Really pleased that we used PC ResQ and will definitely ask Hefin for advice if we have any future IT problems.

Running a small business is never easy, and we are completely reliant on IT to run our busy Architecture practice. There was a time when we received IT support from another specialist, who seemed to take great pleasure in shouting "I've never seen it do this before!" whilst we cowered in the corner wondering if we would ever work again! Great customer service.I've been using PC ResQ since 2004, and they have provided nothing but prompt and reliable service whether the problem be large or small. They don’t try to baffle you with science and give clear (layman’s) instructions if the problem can be dealt with over the telephone. My IT search was for a professional, local company, also able to provide personalised continuity. I had no interest in a company of on-call technicians, lacking the valuable ongoing relationship / knowledge of their customer. The task of transferring old to new PC / configuring backups and iPhones was a lengthier task than anticipated. One phone call saved me £278!My PC was infected with the CryptoLocker bug. Very scary to find all your work documents locked with a notice demanding a sum of £350 pounds to get them back! Hefin has successfully updated my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and installed the latest version of Office. There were a few teething problems, which are inevitable when transferring data from one system to another, but Hefin has resolved these for me. He is very professional and responsive. We wanted to upgrade our iMac to two new iMacs. Hefin transferred all the data, and ensured that we had the necessary software and security installed.
